Powderham Springwatch Sunday 6 to Friday 11 A wonderful time of year to visit Powderham and see some fascinating wildlife behaviour at the rebirth of the season. Civil War – Living History Day Sunday 13 Starts at 11am Step back in time to 1645 and the English Civil War. The Castle was a Royalist Garrison busy fending off the Roundheads. See the military weapons display, camp kitchen, period music and learn about life at that time. Included in admission.

Organ Restoration – Conservation in Action Tuesday 22 – Thursday 24 10.30am – 4.30pm The 1760 organ, which has been lying dormant in the Music Room for many years, will be undergoing much needed remedial work. All guided tours will offer the chance to see conservation in action and meet local organ builder Michael Farley. Included in admission.
