Guided Castle Tours

You can see the majestic rooms and hear the fascinating stories of the Castle as told by our knowledgeable and entertaining guides. The guided tours are suitable for all ages and last approximately one hour. Tours start at regular intervals throughout the day. All tours leave from the Courtenay Gallery, accessed via the Courtyard Gift Shop.

The ground floor only of the Castle is accessible to wheelchair users. A wheelchair is available for loan whilst in the Castle only on a first come first served basis.

Please note the last guided tour is an hour before closing and at 2.30pm on Fridays.

Occasionally, for maintenance to be carried out or for a private function some rooms are closed off to the public. Please call ahead of your visit and we can let you know if there is anything scheduled.
