Wedding Receptions

Powderham Castle is a truly magical place to hold your wedding reception.

The 600-year-old Castle is set amidst a beautiful Deer Park with breathtaking views across the Exe Estuary. The stunning location lends itself to all manner of wedding styles; the Rose Garden Terrace is ideal for a summer champagne reception and the majestic rooms are available to hire in many different combinations to suit your individual requirements. The vast Music Room is light and airy; with a splendid domed ceiling creating wonderful acoustics and the Dining Room has an exceptionally warm and welcoming atmosphere with a fireplace and minstrel's gallery often used by string quartets.

Powderham Castle is an extremely flexible venue for wedding receptions. We can cater from 2 to 180 guests and if you would like a larger occasion you can even put up a marquee in the Deer Park.

With so many wonderful backdrops both inside and out, it is any photographer's dream, together with our attentive service and tailored facilities we will ensure your wedding day wishes come true.

Holding your wedding reception at Powderham Castle is surprisingly affordable. The Castle's own charming little chapel is also available for wedding blessings and can seat up to 60 guests. For more information on this and our accommodation provision contact our Functions Manager Virginia Bowman on 01626 890243 or ginny@powderham.co.uk for our wedding brochure.
