Harry Nye
“An emotional and captivating singer-songwriter” – Dean Jackson, BBC Radio
”A divine voice” – Fearne Cotton
Raised in Barcelona, Harry Nye is an English singer-songwriter on the verge of releasing his debut album titled “The Safety of Song”, recorded live in full-take performances at RAK Studios in London. Four singles from the album, including “To Have A Life” and “No Feeling is Final”, are out now.
Since moving back to London from Barcelona to pursue his career as an independent artist, Harry has performed countless shows around the city and the U.K. – including headline shows at St Pancras Old Church, Troubadour and Servant Jazz Quarters – as well as having co-written with an array of London-based artists. Last year he performed one of his album singles “Move With Me” for Fearne Cotton at the Union Chapel, before crowdfunding the recording of his debut album, which took place in spring.
An extremely intimate and raw collection of songs, “The Safety of Song” is set to be released independently on the 14th March this year, before Harry embarks on a UK tour in spring.
Join us for a special show at Powderham Castle on 11th May, with a guest performance from Ormella.
Ormella
Hailing from East London, Ormella is a classically trained singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Having previously lent her unmistakable voice to classic analogue synthesiser sounds and reverb drenched guitars in the atmospheric pop band Takk, she – now as a solo artist – has become known for her reflective lyricism, tender vocals and while more often than not “indie folk” sound – her genre-defying discography.
