Jousting & Medieval Day

To add to the enchantment of Powderham, we are delighted to announce our upcoming Jousting and Medieval Day on Sunday, 23rd June. Immerse yourself in the exhilarating world of medieval jousting as valiant knights clash in thrilling battles within our authentically themed medieval area.

Witness the excitement of jousting sessions at 11:30am and 2:00pm. Marvel at captivating falconry displays at 12.30pm and 3.00pm and seize the chance to try your hand at axe throwing. Learn to switch beautiful motifs such as Crowns and Tudor Roses with The Royal School of Needlework family workshops will run from 10.30am – 12.30pm & 1.30pm – 3.30pm. The day promises a blend of adventure and entertainment for all ages.

Savour delicious offerings from our food traders, relax at our picnic benches, or enjoy a refreshing drink from the mini bar housed in a charming shepherd’s hut.

Your Castle and Grounds general admission ticket grants access to all these activities, plus entry to the Castle, Gardens, Grounds & Secret Gardens where you can meet, greet & even feed a range of 4 legged & fluffy animals! Join us for a memorable day of historical fun and festivities!
