Christmas at the Castle is coming back to Powderham! 

What do I need to know? 

Important Dates

• 27th - 29th November - Grounds only 
• 30th November - Closed for private booking
• 1st - 31st December - Castle and Grounds open
• 1st - 24th December - Christmas Grotto 
• 25th & 26th December - Closed 

Event Opening Times*

27th November - 17th December

• Mon-Fri - 4pm – 9:30pm
• Sat & Sun - 11am – 3pm & 4pm – 9:30pm

18th - 24th December (Christmas Holidays)

• Every day - 11am – 3pm & 4pm – 9:30pm

27th - 31st December

• Every day - 4pm – 9:30pm

The Castle Experience opens 30 minutes after event opening, and closes 30 minutes prior to event closing daily.

*Quiet Hour

On Mondays between 4pm & 5pm we will be operating a quiet hour. During this time, all music will be played at a low level and the event capacity will be decreased. This is to allow more space for those who need it, to enjoy the full Christmas at the Castle Experience at their own pace. More information here.

Ticket Prices 

Grounds only (27th - 29th November)

• Adult (16+) - £9.95
• Child (3-15) - £5.95
• Under 3's - Free 
• Powderham Members - Free with valid membership card
• Carer - Free with Adult or Child admission ticket

Castle & Grounds (1st - 31st December)

• Adult (16+) - £14.95
• Child (3-15) - £6.95
• Under 3's - Free 
• Powderham Members - Free with valid membership card
• Carer - Free with Adult or Child admission ticket

Christmas Grotto 

• £8 per child 
• Christmas Grotto tickets must be bought with admission tickets. 
• Maximum 6 children per visit 
• Please note, your admission window is a guideline. To ensure waiting times are not increased, please arrive during this window.
