Spooky Week

Come join us this half term for Spooky Week! 

In The Castle:

Ghoulish tours are returning this October! Follow our guides through the castle as they share Powderham's ghoulish stories! *

Search for skeleton bones around the state rooms and help put the skeletons back together.

Visit the witch and wizard laboratory and join spooky story time.** (Please note spooky stories are prepared with a younger audience in mind.)

In The Grounds:

If you haven’t had a chance to complete our Shaun the Sheep trail this is your last chance to have a go! Download the app and start searching for Shaun around the grounds. 

Returning for the final time this year, get creative and learn how to create iconic figures, such as Gromit, Shaun and Morph with one of Aardman's Senior Model Makers! Join us Sunday 22nd October, tickets are limited so we recommend booking in advance. ***

In The Secret Garden:

Explore the Secret Garden and see how many pumpkins you can find! 

Why not take one of our friendly goats or Alpacas for a stroll through the grounds! ***

Help us keep Kinder the pony and Harry the Donkey looking their best and learn how to care for equine friends. ***

Join us for our brand-new interactive animal sessions and discover how we care for the wonderful animals at Powderham. 

Ask the Alpaca ... Keeper, every day at 10:30am. Come along and chat to our team about our cheeky alpacas.  

Tortoise Time 11:45am each day during half term and learn about our fascinating tortoises as they begin to hibernate for the winter! 

*Please note, Children must be eight and over to join a spooky week tour. Tours will include stairs and some narrow spaces and are therefore regrettably not suitable for wheelchair access or those who might struggle with steps. The tour will also feature darkened rooms and some spooky stories and characters.
