Enjoy Pilates in the stunning surroundings of Powderham Castle. Take in the peaceful surrounding and improve your wellbeing with a weekly class to relax and gently stretch & strengthen the whole body.
The class is run by Fiona Swan, experienced Level 3 Pilates Instructor and Level 4 specialist in Exercise for Lower Back Pain and Pilates for Common Orthopaedic Conditions. Fiona also has the Level 3 certificate in Pre and Post Natal Exercise and has designed programmes suitable for all stages of pregnancy and beyond.
When & Where
In the Castle Library at 6 and 7pm, surrounded by beautiful antiques and books. The class run term now runs until the 23rd November.
(Please note there is no class on the school’s half term 26th Oct or 16th Nov due to a castle event)
The classes are suitable for all as the exercises are layered so that you can work safely and at your own level. The Pilates basics and principles will be referred to in all sessions. A physical activity readiness questionnaire must be completed prior to starting the sessions.
Please note, due to current Covid restrictions a mat will not be provided, so please bring your own and wear mask until you are on your mat.
Arrival and Parking:
Drive up the main drive towards the castle, and in the evening, you can park in the main courtyard, close to the main castle doors. The dining room and library can be found by bearing left.
