The Three Inch Fools present: Macbeth

Shakespeare in the Courtyard
20th Aug 2019

Armed with all manner of musical instruments, The Fools present an inventive take on Shakespeare’s infamous Scottish play, accompanied by an original folk inspired soundtrack.

Macbeth, a valiant warrior, becomes consumed by greed when three witches tell of a prophecy that he will one day become king of Scotland. Urged on by his scheming wife, Macbeth takes fate into his own hands, setting in motion an ever more desperate struggle for power. Will the rise of a tyrant see the downfall of a once victorious man?

The Three Inch Fools are a five-strong troupe of actors, performing a highly imaginative and vibrantly musical take on Shakespeare's plays across the UK.

The Fools do Shakespeare differently - a fast-paced, musically-driven style, using all sorts of different instruments, plenty of multi-rolling and many a quick costume change along the way.
