The Tree Sessions Creative Workshops - Creative Connections (Workshop 10-14yrs)

2nd Aug - 6th Aug 2021

Creative Connections Community Enrichment Workshops for 10-14 year olds.

Set in the enchanting location of the Woodland Gardens, participants are invited to be immersed and inspired by the natural world around them. They will be guided into connecting with their environment through creative activities that will include drawing, painting, making, yoga and meditation - with all work being drawn together at the end of the week to create a unique book of their own design.

Participants will need a packed lunch, water, sunscreen and something to sit on (cushion or rug).

All equipment included.

Anita Crouch, BA (Hons) Psychology, PGCE, Arts Award Advisor, Creative Tutor: After completing her degree, Anita spent ten years working in the forest encouraging connections through physical and creative activity.  She has completed courses with the Royal Academy of Art to inspire an inclusive and creative curriculum.  The natural world is endless in its inspiration and is integral to my teaching. I’m interested in developing creative skills that help us recognise and enjoy the connections between ourselves and the natural world.

Jane Clifton, RYT Yoga Teacher Diploma: Jane has been practising vinyasa yoga for 20 years.  She is inspired by her teachers and travels and teaches yoga and wellness to John Lewis partners, and runs her own practice.  Participants will be offered instruction in how to breathe and meditate.

Felix Clifton, BA Fine Arts: Felix studied at Leeds University, developing his passion for portraiture and honing his skills in oil painting and clay sculpting.

Supported by UNESCO City of Literature.
