We are pleased to announce we will be welcoming Sir Tom Jones to Powderham on Sunday 15th July 2018 for an unforgettable evening of entertainment. With an irrestible style that fuses musical eras and genres, cuts across class divides and appeals to all ages, male and female, mainstream and cutting edge, Sir Tom is sure to captivate fans.

Please note: most tickets purchased with the Estate Office before 30th June 2018 have now been sent via Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For delivery. If you are concerned, please call the Estate Office and we will give you your ticket reference number which you will be able to give to the Box Office available on the night. 


Tickets are now only being sold via Ticketmaster. Parking tickets will be available on the night.

FAQs

What are the arrangements for parking?

Parking is by ticket only and can be purchased on the night (the Estate Office are no longer selling these). There is a disabled parking area; please bring your blue badge. Parking will be just off the A379 between the Castle entrance and Starcross; it will be heavily signposted. 

Can we bring chairs, picnics, etc? 

The standing area is standing only, no chairs, picnic blankets, food or drink is permitted. There will be food and drinks outlets in the venue. Please refer to the Terms & Conditions above. 

What are the timings for the concert? 

13:00 - car park opens

14:00 - arena gates open, music over PA starts

16:00 - 17:45     World Cup Big Screen (normal time)

                            *1745 - 1835     Extra time/penalties - tv coverage

                            *1835 -1845     PA Music if extra time

                            *1745 - 1845    PA Music if no extra time

18:45 - 19:45 - Into the Ark

19:45 - 20:15 - Changeover

20:15 - 21:45 - Sir Tom Jones

22:00 - music curfew

Is there public transport?

All usual public transport will run, including the number 2 bus (click here for timetable) that picks up and drops off from just outside the main castle gates. 

There are extra trains being laid on from Starcross station (times available below). Starcross station is approximately 1.1km/0.7mi walk from the venue. 

There will be taxi drop off/pick up points just off the A379 between the Castle entrance and Starcross. 

There will be a shuttle bus; buses will operate non-stop between Exeter Bus Station and Powderham Castle. The first bus to leave at 14:30 (arriving at Powderham Castle at 15:00) then departing every 7 or 8 mins from the Bus Station until 17:15, the last bus arriving at Powderham Castle at 17:45. The first bus to leave Powderham will be at 21:45, then buses would depart as they are loaded (about every 4 mins) back to Exeter Bus Station with the last bus being around 23:25. Please ensure that your tickets are printed and ready to be scanned prior to getting on the bus! Please buy tickets here.

Is the Castle open?

The Castle will be open from 10am - 4pm.

There is free entry to the Grounds with the option to upgrade to join a tour or see inside the Castle (dependent on times) for £5. 

Tours will run as follows:

                State Room – 11:30

                Upstairs/Downstairs – 12:45

                Open House – 1:30 – 4:00

If you park in the Attraction car park, you will need to move your car to the Concert car park when you leave the attraction or risk your car being locked into the Castle Grounds. 

Will the World Cup final be shown? 

The organisers have managed to pull some strings, meaning they are able to show the World Cup final at the venue. This is all the information we have at present; please check back regularly for updates on this. 

Where is the standing area?

Standing is at the back of the arena.

Will I be able to see?

There will be large screens so even if you can't see Sir Tom himself, you'll still catch all the action.
