We regret to announce that the Point-to-Point course at Blackforest Lodge has ceased operations. Sadly, the farm land on which the Point-to-Point is run has been sold, and its new owner is unable to host Point-to-Points.
Powderham is proud of its role in developing and hosting the Blackforest Lodge Point to Point course, in association with local hunts and the wider Westcountry point-to-pointing community. The course was a particular passion of the late Lord Devon, who was himself a keen amateur jockey as a young man. It brought him great pleasure to be able to host so many excellent and competitive races at Blackforest over recent decades, particularly those in which his daughters rode. The family is grateful for the contributions of so many people who made the racing happen, and for the many happy memories…
