As part of ongoing work to make the Powderham Estate more accessible, we are pleased to now offer an all-terrain mobility scooter (Tramper) for hire by visitors.

The Tramper is easy and safe to use, providing access around the Estate on a choice of routes that have been professionally audited. It is available to anyone over 14 years old who would benefit from additional assistance, whatever the extent that mobility is limited. 

Tramper hire is offered in partnership with the award-winning Countryside Mobility initiative that has a network of 50 hire locations at beauty spots around the South West. Other nearby Tramper locations include Haldon Forest, Stover Country Park and National Trust Killerton.

If you are using the Tramper for the first time you will be taken through a short introduction to the Tramper and become a member of Countryside Mobility (Taster (2 week) Membership - £2.50 or  £10 for Annual Membership). The membership provides full insurance and enables you to enjoy Trampers at all their hire locations. Please bring some form of photo ID and address.

Existing Countryside Mobility members should bring proof of their current membership.
