We just want to say thank you to the Powderham Team for everything you did for us to make our wedding so amazing and special.

It was the most perfect day for us and we are so glad that we got to share it with all of you at Powderham.  The Belvedere is the most fantastic spot, with stunning views overlooking the estuary and now that it has been fully restored, it makes a beautiful and dramatic backdrop and we really hope that more couples choose to have their reception there as it is such a special part of the Powderham Estate.

As well as it being such a big day for us, it was of course a big moment in history for Powderham Castle as we were their first same sex wedding and there was no where else where we would have wanted to celebrate our wedding day, than at Powderham.

The Powderham team did so much for us and from the moment we made contact with them, everything was handled professionally and promptly and they were always on hand to answer any questions, offer suggestions and solutions. We cannot thank you enough for everything you did to ensure that our day ran smoothly. You became such an intrinsic part of our lives that we now miss not getting emails or speaking with you!

Powderham is truly an exquisite place, it has that little something more than any other venue. Powderham staff are so welcoming and so thoughtful it really that makes your wedding day sparkle, the staff do truly go above and beyond to make your wedding day that one of a kind and a customised to the way you want it!

Powderham is so picturesque it takes your breath away when you drive into the estate! And finally, Ella was my amazing wing man, my wedding planner and friend! She was absolutely amazing, she was so helpful with the planning and having myself bombarding her with phone calls (always worried but always there to calm me down!)  time and time again, she was so patient and she would really go out of her way to make all your dreams come true on your wedding day  even right down to the small details her commitment and dedication to our wedding was absolutely outstanding . One thing I can say with Powderham its aesthetically beautiful and elegant and can make all your wedding dreams come true!

Powderham Castle was the perfect location for us and a beautiful blend of grand elegance, natural beauty and somewhere, that by the end of the day, felt a bit like home! We never thought we’d be able to find a venue where we could both play croquet on the lawn, dine like kings and queens in the beautiful library, and enjoy spectacular views towards some of our favourite parts of Devon.

We were blessed with gorgeous weather to be able to enjoy the stunning gardens, but the versatility of the inside space meant we never had to worry about what to do if the clouds came in. 

Ella was an absolute star on the day and made sure everything ran without a hitch while we were hitched! Nothing was too much trouble, and she was on hand and eager to help in the run up and on the day itself. We can’t thank her and Powderham enough in the huge role they played in making our day perfect for both us and our guests.
