Exclusive Accommodation for Weddings, Parties or Events

For those wishing to make a full weekend of their wedding, Powderham offers a unique variety of accommodation. So, for those that want the party to carry on after “I Do” then there’s room for them and guests to stay too. 

The wedding couple may choose to enjoy their wedding night at the castle, in the Honeymoon Suite. But friends and family are welcome to stay too with on-site and off-site accommodation.

When the night draws to a close couples ascend via the majestic staircase hall to the romantic Honeymoon suite. When they awake and open the curtains, they’ll be met with stunning panoramic estuary and park views from the bay window of the clock tower. With a range of catering options, they can choose to enjoy anything from a full cooked breakfast in bed to a continental breakfast buffet in the State Dining Room before they depart. If getting married at a castle has been a fairy tale wish, then staying in one takes it to the next level.

With additional bedrooms, there’s room for families and friends to stay as well meaning they can dance freely into the night. Powderham offers a variety of sized bedrooms, a few with the castle’s traditional four poster beds that you’d expect.

Our castle bedrooms are family friendly, with high chairs, cots, folding beds and dolls houses.

Bedrooms can be booked directly by the wedding couple for their guests via our friendly team, for one or two night stays somewhere really special.

Please note, castle accommodation cannot be booked without hiring the castle as well, whether for a wedding, function or private party. We are sorry we can’t accommodate ad-hoc or B&B style stays at the castle. We do however have a lovely self-catering accommodation cottage on the estate: The Old School House, which with 5 bedrooms and beautiful garden is the perfect place to stay when in Devon.
